Right after his swearing-in as the fifth democratically elected Governor of Akwa Ibom, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has pledged his readiness to invest heavily in agriculture.
He added that he would ensure fishermen get financial value for their efforts.
According to him, he would adopt government continuity by maintaining projects executed and advancing those started by his predecessor, including the improvement of quality of life in rural areas and stemming rural-urban migration.
Speaking further, he added that he would link communities that have not been connected to the national grid, and ensure that they have electricity, clean water and primary healthcare facilities to complement the great strides recorded by his predecessor in secondary healthcare facilities.
