Tensions are high in Delta state as reports have emerged that suspected herdsmen killed two farmers in Toru-Angiama community, Patani Local Government Area of Delta.
The victims were said to be working on their farmlands when the suspected herdsmen, armed with weapons, stormed the area to attack them.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers were heavily armed and seemed to be targeting specific individuals.
This incident has sparked outrage among the local community and calls have been made for the government to take action to protect farmers from these attacks. Many farmers have expressed fear for their safety and have called on the government to provide them with more security.
